Like many single mothers, one day I found myself in a position I never imagined I’d be in—a single mom of four young children. Divorce was not something that was supposed to happen to me. However, with the support of wonderful family and friends, many right here at Highlands, I have learned the power of true faith. Most importantly, it is the encouragement that I receive from other single moms that have “walked in my shoes” that has enabled me to move forward in a positive and meaningful way! - Lauren

I'm choosing to become a single mom by adopting a daughter from Guatemala. Although I grew up in church, I haven't been going regularly for a long time. It's wonderful to get to know other women who are single moms and talk about our lives and how God can help us. For me, getting to know these women is helping me reaffirm my faith in God. - Lucinda

This single moms group is the best thing that could have happened to me. After 24 years of marriage, raising 3 wonderful kids, I find myself starting over with only one child left in High School. This group is so diverse in everyway, yet I believe we have all found strength through each others real life experiences. - Sandy
