September 5, 2010, the women of Highlands and the band Blue Sky Nine in action at the BBQ and Concert for the Watkins Overflow Shelter. We had Bingo, prizes, good food, a band that sounded great and shared the gospel...plus 50 volunteers willing to talk with and love on the residents at the shelter. When it's God moving to make it happen you say, thank you Lord and what a day!

Another successful service opportunity behind us. Lots of new faces for me today which was fun. Thought you'd enjoy seeing the amount of food gals so generously brought us. We made 210 "deluxe" lunches, that means 2 sandwiches, fruit, chips, cookies, and water in each sack. Plus we were able to leave them peanut butter, jelly, chips and cookies for another day. We needed 200 bagged lunches and we had 210 pieces of fruit, once again isn't God good!
