Children in foster care often do not have a sense of family history because they have moved from home to home or have not had parents who took pictures of them to document the events of their lives.
Highlands Women Outreach group is creating a team of volunteers to create 'life books' - scrapbooks - that foster children keep with them no matter where they move.
Our goal is to provide 10 girl and 10 boy 'life books' per quarter.
Here are ways you could serve the foster children using your giftedness and showing the love of Christ:
+ Design simple template scrapbook pages using the 30 page themes provided by CFCA (we have photos of a sample book). + Solicit donations of scrapbook materials from local scrapbook and craft stores using a provided CFCA donations letter. + Assemble scrapbook pages each month with other team members. + Organize quarterly Highlands scrapbook materials donations event displaying a completed book.
